UK National Standards Body

We are the UK's National Standards Body (NSB) and were the first national standards body. We represent UK economic and social interests across all European and international standards organizations and in the development of business information solutions for British organizations of all sizes and sectors.

Standards Policy

This is how we manage our relationships with other standards bodies across the world, as well as central and local government departments.  It also manages the activities of the NSB.

Through government funding, we're able to undertake research and insights into new areas of standardization including cell therapy, financial services, sustainability and synthetic biology.

How to get involved

Choose from the many ways to get involved: join a committee to help develop standards; become a BSI author or consumer representative; or comment on a draft publication.
