Available for both BIM Project and Asset Information Practitioners, this final step provides you the opportunity to get your relevant Professional Auditor qualification certified.
Achieving certified status demonstrates that you have applied everything that you have learned in practice and in your work.
On successful completion, you’ll receive a Certified Professional BSI Mark of Trust that can be shared across your network of contacts.
Unlike the Practitioner and Professional levels of the BIM qualification pathway, there are no training and assessment components to complete to achieve Certified Professional.
You’ll need to have achieved a BIM Professional qualification and have at least three years’ professional experience in industry. Certified Professional status has a validity window of three years – at the end of this window, you will be required to reapply.
Prerequisites
Completion of the BIM Project or Asset Information Professional qualification to apply to have your qualification certified and at least three years’ professional experience in industry.
To apply for Certified status, you will need to complete an application form that outlines your professional experience and any relevant learning in the built environment sector.
Plus, a written statement with examples and/or evidence of your experience responding to the BIM-related competency topics and prompts in the application form.
You will also need to provide an annual declaration stating that you have completed at least 15 hours of relevant CPD per year to keep your Certified Professional status active.
