Coles Addendum for Coles Supplier Requirements

Coles requires food suppliers to hold third-party certification and meet additional CSR criteria to ensure food safety, quality, and brand protection.

Demonstrate compliance with Coles Supplier Requirements through recognised food safety certification and integrated audits

As one of Australia’s largest supermarket retailers, Coles expects its Branded food suppliers to demonstrate robust, independently verified food safety and quality systems.

Coles requires all Branded Suppliers (Food) to be certified to an accepted third-party audit and certification programme such as BRCGS, SQF or Freshcare, appropriate to the products and operations in scope. To further protect and enhance the Coles brand, suppliers must also comply with the additional criteria defined in the Coles Supplier Requirements (CSR), which sit alongside the chosen base standard and are assessed as an integrated part of the audit process.
