From food to fashion to finance, consumers are increasingly seeking out organisations they can trust to behave ethically, and choosing them to do business with.
Now that artificial intelligence (AI) can be programmed to make decisions that have a huge impact on the lives of consumers and the choices they make, how can consumers be sure that the organisations developing and using AI, do so in an ethical way? What tools do organisations need to build consumer confidence and enable them to take advantage of AI for the benefit of consumers? Will the consumers’ right to choose be taken away, through a lack of clear governance principles in the rapidly emerging world of AI?
Join us to hear views and experiences from guest speakers including Ethical Consumer, ASOS, Consumers International, LEGO, Yoti and the BSI AI standards committee to discuss how industry, government, standards makers and consumer organisations can help to effectively address these challenges.
Welcome and introduction from the new BSI Consumer Forum Chair.
If you require accommodation, hotels close to the venue are Premier Inn, London Blackfriars and Travelodge, London Central Liverpool Street.
