Achieving the BSI Kitemark™ for Minimized Risk of AMR to demonstrate responsible manufacturing and environmental stewardship.
“Partnering with BSI isn't just about achieving certification, it's about building trust within the industry & setting a benchmark for responsibility.”
Irish antibiotic manufacturer committed to quality, sustainability and minimizing environmental risks associated with production.
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is recognised as a major global health challenge. Gaelic Laboratories wanted to demonstrate to customers, partners and stakeholders that its manufacturing practices support efforts to minimise the environmental risks associated with antibiotic production.
With increasing awareness of the challenges of AMR and the role that manufacturers can play in reducing risk of AMR in the environment, the organization wanted to be ‘future ready’ in a world that is increasingly aware of the problem, and might in future place those demands more directly on manufacturers.
Gaelic Laboratories pursued the BSI Kitemark™ for Minimized Risk of AMR to independently demonstrate responsible manufacturing controls and environmental risk management practices. The assessment evaluated operational controls, monitoring, governance and supporting processes across multiple functions.
BSI provided a structured and transparent framework, helping the organisation demonstrate alignment with recognised industry expectations while supporting continuous improvement activities.
Certification supports transparency, consistency and confidence across antibiotic manufacturing operations.
BSI delivers the only independently certifiable assessment for responsible antibiotic production. Gaelic Laboratories valued the expertise of the assessment team, the transparency of the process and the international recognition associated with the BSI Kitemark™.
Demonstrate your commitment to managing AMR environmental risks during the manufacturing of antibiotics.
