Can the food sector positively impact climate change?
If organizations exist within complex, adaptive systems and network of relationships while often being impacted by external drivers over which they have little control, is it still possible to impact climate change? And if so, how?
BSI’s Sustainability Practice Director Ryan Lynch says it is possible.
In a recent interview with Innovation Forum he also explains that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution for any industry, and this is particularly true for the food sector.
‘If we are embedding (the) mindset and awareness of the invisible costs that currently aren’t being accounted for, it gives employees of our organizations, stakeholders (and) policy makers more points of the system to grab onto to make individual improvements that feed into the larger system of changes that we need.’
