This two‑day course provides a practical introduction to sustainability leadership, giving participants a clear and accessible starting point for understanding the sustainability, environmental, energy, and Green House Gas concepts shaping modern organisational strategy.

Blending BSI’s technical expertise with CMI’s leadership development approach, the programme explores how recognised ISO standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and the ISO 14060 family, support credible, evidence‑based sustainability action and long‑term improvement of environmental performance and organisational resilience.

Across two days of interactive learning, discussion, and conceptual application, delegates will deepen their awareness of the systems, behaviours, and decision‑making practices that enable organisations to embed sustainability effectively. The course highlights the role leaders play in influencing outcomes, and driving cultural change.

Designed for managers, team leads and professionals involved in sustainability reporting, developing Net Zero pathways, and embedding sustainability, this pilot also serves as a gateway into the wider BSI and CMI professional pathways.

Prerequisites

A basic understanding of organisational operations or management systems would be useful, but not mandatory. No prior sustainability or ISO knowledge is required.
