This introductory course will provide a foundation understanding of ISO 19443, the international standard for quality management systems applicable to organizations in the nuclear supply chain. You will be introduced to the structure, scope and key requirements of ISO 19443 and how it builds on ISO 9001 for organizations that supply products and services important to nuclear safety (Important To Nuclear Safety — ITNS).

Upon completion of this training, you will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and scope of ISO 19443 and how it enhances and supplements ISO 9001 requirements to address the specific needs of the nuclear supply chain
- Describe the structure and key requirements of ISO 19443, including its alignment with ISO 9001 and its nuclear-specific enhancements
- Identify ITNS within your organization and take initial steps to manage and control them effectively
- Recognize the characteristics of a strong nuclear safety culture, graded approach and CFSI (counterfeit fraudulent and suspect items) and understand how individual and team behaviours contribute to safety performance
This course is suitable for anyone who would like to gain knowledge of ISO 19443, including individuals who are responsible for managing, implementing or auditing an ISO 19443 management system.
On completion, you’ll be awarded an internationally recognized BSI training course certificate.
