Committee stage - The draft revision is reviewed by the relevant committee.

Draft International Standard (DIS) stage - The revised draft is released as a DIS for public comment. You can provide feedback on our Standards Development Portal.

Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) stage - Feedback from the DIS stage is edited into an FDIS for approval by the SDO.

Publication stage - The revised standard is formally published for adoption.

Certification transition - Publication of the new standard triggers the transition process; the defined period for implementing the changes.
