The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) produce and publish the International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies (commonly known as ‘electrotechnology’).
IEC’s International Standards are established through a consensus process involving 20,000 international experts from industry, government and leading testing laboratories, including BSI.
The standards, together with IEC’s conformity assessment systems, ensure that the thousands of electrical devices used world-wide every day perform, fit and work safely together.
