In addition to the wide scope of testing and technical file review services, BSI has launched a Kitemark for Electric Vehicle Charging, the first time this emerging industry has had the opportunity to provide confidence and assurance through accreditation.
What is it?
The Kitemark and IECEE CB Scheme certification and testing of electric vehicle charging systems will support market assurance amidst the rapid expansion and technological advancement in electric vehicles and their associated systems.
The Kitemark will complement BSI’s existing Electric Vehicle charging standards (for example, BS EN 61851 series). It will employ type testing, factory assessments, certification and ongoing activities. It will require ongoing factory assessments, which will be delivered by our expert systems certification team.
Our IECEE CB scheme certification enables manufacturers of electrical vehicle charging equipment to access over 50 global markets using one test certificate. (please click the link to find out more)
BSI also assists manufacturers in their product development where we are able to type test product to ensure it perform as desire and meet specified criteria.
