    BSI announces the appointments of Paul Quested, Bukky Bird and Peter Simpson

    25 June 2025: BSI, the business improvement and standards company, announces the appointments of Paul Quested as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on 22 May 2025, Bukky Bird as a Non-Executive Director on 1 June 2025 and Peter Simpson as a Board Advisor on 1 June 2025.

    Paul is an experienced CFO and business leader with over 30 years of experience in commercial, strategic, and financial leadership roles across global markets. Most recently, Paul spent eight years as CFO at HSS Hire Group, where he led a significant turnaround of the business. Prior to this, Paul spent nearly a decade at Electrocomponents (now RS Group), a global distributor for engineers with operations in 32 countries, where he held senior business, finance and corporate development roles.

    Bukky is currently Group Sustainability Director at Barratt Redrow. She has a background in engineering and has worked across the professional services, retail and housebuilding sectors. She brings particular experience in sustainability, transformation and customer insight, and her leadership has been instrumental in driving Barratt Redrow’s sustainability strategy and integrating operations following the merger of Barratt and Redrow. She has previously held senior roles at Tesco and WSP, and served on the board of the Notting Hill Housing Association.

    Peter brings international, operational and regulatory experience from the various leadership roles he has held over three decades at Anglian Water Group (AWG). This includes nine years as Chief Executive Officer, where he led large-scale transformation initiatives and delivered service innovation. He has a strong commitment to sustainability and purpose, and is a Trustee of WaterAid.
