    Air Sports Group (ASG) is the global leader and dominant commercial gatekeeper within sports aviation.

    Delivering professional specialist air sports, ASG develops and leads air sports consulting, events, talent and media. It recognizes a duty to use its position to demonstrate leadership and responsibility.

    The Challenge

    Elevating sustainability within sports aviation

    As the global leader in sports aviation, ASG recognized that the industry and its products, services, and operations can have significant environmental, social, and economic impacts.

    In forging a path for the rest of the air sports industry to follow, ASG had two goals: to ensure all its products, services and operations are as sustainable as possible; and to continue its commitment to researching, testing, and implementing the latest innovations in sustainable sports aviation. ASG also aimed to educate peers and partners outside the industry that sustainability extends beyond the environment and the value of social and economic impacts. To support, an internationally recognized certification system was needed.

    The Solution

    A framework for implementing sustainable development principles

    Certification in Sustainable Events Management (ISO 20121) provided the structure and independent verification ASG required.

    ISO certification has provided a structural approach to continually improve ASG’s company processes and procedures, and ensuring development in line with best practices. ASG has implemented sustainable development principles in all of its practices and operations across business divisions - Consulting, Events, Talent, and Media - both internally as a rights holder and externally as a service provider to its partners.
