BSI Group America Inc. (BSI) announced today that Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Managed Services unit has successfully achieved global certification to ISO/IEC 27001 for Information Security, ISO/IEC 20000 for IT Service Management and ISO 9001 for Quality. As one of the largest information technology companies in the world, this global certification covers more than 450 HPE locations across six continents and helps ensure that all of its operations follow internationally-recognized best practice regarding quality, information technology management and information security.
Obtaining this level of certification ensures a consistent level of oversight that gives clients peace of mind that they will receive the same, standardized level of service at each of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s managed services sites globally.
“Our Enterprise Services team strives to bring our customers the best quality services and solutions on a global scale and being the first to obtain this level of quality standards is a great way to kick off our new organization,” said Russ Krauss, senior vice president, Enterprise Services Client, Account and Business Operations for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “Global Certification is another example of Hewlett Packard Enterprise continuing our long-standing customer-first philosophy and high-touch approach to our managed services customer relationships.”
Certifying to ISO/IEC 27001 validates that the governance and oversight of information security management has been confirmed to keep customer information at a high level of confidentiality, integrity and availability. With ISO/IEC 20000 certification, IT Service Management governance has been independently determined by BSI to support the IT Infrastructure and Application Management Services and addresses each organization’s technology requirements. In addition, ISO 9001 global certification helps bring assurance that the design, development and delivery of its technical solutions have quality woven throughout the governing business frameworks.
“Global certifications of this scale are not only rigorous, but must be conducted consistently across different cultures and in various languages,” said BSI Americas President, Todd VanderVen. “Certification for an organization of this size, with thousands of employees working across hundreds of offices worldwide, exemplifies Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s determination to provide its customers with the very best in quality, service and information security.”
Each of these certifications were issued to HP Enterprise Services, LLC which is now branded as Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Managed Services unit. This global certification is for three years with regularly-scheduled surveillance audits conducted to monitor continued adherence to the requirements of the three standards.
“BSI’s extensive network of global resources was able to provide Hewlett Packard Enterprise the expertise it required to efficiently execute their audits,” said VanderVen. “We are proud that BSI America was chosen to coordinate the teams that led to this exceptional achievement.”
