Information presented includes (but is not limited to) PELs, TWAs, and action levels, exposure assessment and air monitoring, hygiene and housekeeping, personal protective equipment, and medical surveillance.
Annual refreshers are required to maintain certification.

EPA RRP Certified Renovator (CR)
Contractors who perform renovation, repairs, and painting must train and re-certify in lead-safe work practices before renovating older housing. These strict new EPA rules took effect April 22, 2010. New certification is required for all home improvement activity that disturbs more than 6 square feet of interior or 20 square feet of exterior lead paint in housing built before 1978, and in any child-occupied facility.

EPA Lead Risk Assessor
The Lead Risk Assessor training course provides information for those individuals who wish to perform lead-based paint Risk Assessment or Lead Hazard Screening services. This class meets EPA's training requirements and will prepare students to perform on-site inspection, take samples, determine the severity of lead hazards, and develop options for eliminating those hazards. EPA and state regulations require that an individual wishing to be certified as a Risk Assessor must first successfully complete the Lead Inspector class, and meet the necessary education and experience requirements.
A Risk Assessor can perform all of the duties that an Inspector can. In addition, a Risk Assessor is responsible for identifying all lead-based paint hazards and making recommendations for their treatment, including maintenance and monitoring schedules.
Pre-requisites - Completion of Lead Inspector or proof of accreditation of Lead Inspector

EPA Lead Risk Assessor - Refresher
This 1 day refresher course is required for all workers to extend their accreditation for a three-year period. Course covers various topics such as roles and responsibilities of Risk Assessor, preparation of final risk assessment report, and Development of hazard control options.
Completion of Lead Inspector or proof of accreditation of Lead Inspector is required as a Pre-requisite for this course.

EPA Lead Inspector
This Lead Inspector Initial training provides information for individuals who perform lead-based paint inspections and/or clearance examinations on abatement and renovation projects. This course will teach the legal and technical issues and obligations facing inspectors when inspecting for lead hazards.
This class will teach individuals how to determine whether or not lead-based paint or other lead hazards are present in sufficient quantities to require abatement according to regulatory guidelines.
This is a 3-day course.

EPA Lead Inspector - Refresher
Maintain your accreditation as a lead inspector by attending this refresher course. The Lead Inspector refresher training provides information for individuals who perform lead-based paint inspections and/or clearance examinations on abatement and renovation projects. This course will teach the legal obligations facing inspectors when inspecting for lead hazards, and individuals will learn to determine whether or not lead-based paint or other lead hazards are present in sufficient quantities to require abatement according to regulatory guidelines.
Proof of prior completion of an EPA-approved lead inspector training or a current state license must be provided.

EPA Lead Abatement Worker Certification
Abatement is any set of measures designed to permanently eliminate lead-based paint hazards. Abatement work that is not conducted by a Certified Lead Abatement Worker is subject to heavy fines by local governments and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Abatement workers may conduct abatement activities under the direction of certified abatement supervisors.
This is a 2 day course.
