COVID-19 exposed how critical supply chains are to national interests. The war in Ukraine demonstrated the destabilising effects of geopolitical events. The shocks you face have become more frequent and their effects more persistent. Benchmarks suggest you now face 11 disruptions each year. In 2019, you only had to deal with four. Once you've measured your MESH maturity, you can build a resilience strategy that prioritizes the areas that will create the most value for your business. For some, it may be easiest to start with training, for others it might be scenario planning.
You need to track risk on an ongoing basis. This means embedding your risk management into business-as-usual processes, automating where possible and continuously monitoring to make sure nothing slips.
