10 March 2022

BSI, the business standards and improvement company, is pleased to announce that Kate Field, Global Head of Health, Safety and Well-being at BSI has been shortlisted for the mental health awareness InsideOut Awards - Campaigner of the Year – large company.

Field has been recognized for her creation of the Prioritizing People Model©, which is focussed on embedding cultural change to position mental and physical well-being at the top of corporate priorities. The campaign is inspiring organizations globally to ensure workers go home healthy, safe and happy.

In addition, as a champion of ISO 45003 – the world’s first international standard on psychological health and safety – which launched in 2021, she has helped to develop a training course and certification scheme so that organizations can demonstrate their commitment to mental health.

Commenting on the achievement, Field said: “Helping to combat poor mental health is an issue very close to my heart and led me to becoming a Mental Health First Aider in 2011 so that I could support friends, family and colleagues with their well-being.

“I’m delighted to be recognized for my achievements around the development of the Prioritizing People Model and my contribution to developing the world’s first training course and certification scheme for ISO 45003. Health, safety and well-being is about organizations building a culture of trust and care where individuals can flourish and we hope these tools help businesses with that challenge.”

Winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony at Troxy in London on 24 March 2022.
