BSI Group Canada Inc., a division of the world’s first National Standards Body and a founding member of the International Organization of Standardization (ISO), today announced that Pollard Banknote has been awarded the 2016 BSI Canada Award of Excellence for Management Systems.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba based company provides high quality instant ticket products, licensed games, and strategic marketing and management services for both traditional instant games and the emerging iLottery space of web, mobile, and social channels. The company is a proven innovator and has decades of experience helping lotteries to maximize player engagement, sales, and proceeds for good causes.
Pollard Banknote has been certified to ISO 9001 since 1996, OHSAS 18001 since 2004, ISO 14001 since 2007, and ISO 27001 since 2010. In 2017, they expanded their Information Security Management System scope to include their new iLottery Centre.
“Pollard Banknote consistently demonstrates continuous improvement of systems, heightened IT security, and enhanced safety initiatives,” says Anne-Marie Pizzitelli, Marketing Director for BSI Canada. “Quality, security, integrity and process control are extremely important in the lottery ticket production industry and Pollard is easily able to highlight these features to their world-wide customers with their extremely effective management system.”
“We are thrilled to be receiving the BSI Award of Excellence for 2016.” says Darrell Ward, Corporate Director of Quality, Safety & Environment. “Our approach to ISO certification audits is to ‘add value and improve’ more than to get a certificate on the wall. I think we're often harder on the auditors than they are on us! The staff and management at Pollard Banknote are always looking for ways to improve their products, their service, their people and their management system.”
BSI Canada created the Award of Excellence in 2011 to recognize customers who excel in the implementation of international business standards. This year’s Award of Excellence judging panel consisted of a multi-disciplinary team at BSI Canada which interviewed clients, auditors, senior account managers, and other client facing personnel.
Last year’s winner was Zochem Inc.
