The AS/EN 9100 series of standards (AS/EN 9100, AS/EN 9110 and AS/EN 9120), the globally recognized quality management series of standards for the aerospace sector, developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) is changing. As it is based on ISO 9001, it is being revised to reflect the changes to ISO 9001 which were made in 2015.
Latest update on the changes to AS/EN 9100/9110/9120
The target date for completion of the new series of aerospace quality standards is December 2016. Clients who are certified to the current version of the standards will need to transition to the new version of the standard by 14th September 2018.
The IAQG will be developing Certification Body (CB) auditor training and testing materials to ensure CB auditors are knowledgeable and qualified to begin the transition of certificates to the new standard in early 2017.
What do I need to do now?

Why is AS/EN 9100 changing?
AS/EN 9100 is being updated to keep in line with ISO 9001:2015 and it will help the aviation space and defence industries in the following ways:

What is changing?
The AS/EN 9100 revision will mirror the 10-clause format of ISO 9001:2015. Additionally, it will add to or enhance the following areas:
