歐盟醫療器材法規（MDR）於 2017 年 5 月 25 日生效，其緩衝期為三年，但歐盟在官方公告 EU 2020/561 發佈了 MDR 適用日期相關規定的修訂。如具備依據 MDD 和 AIMDD 頒發的有效證書，同時產品沒有重大的設計或預期用途變更，在寬限期最終失效日 2024 年 5 月 26 日之前，製造商仍可不受部分 MDR 的影響將產品銷往歐盟市場。

隨著英國（UK）自 2021 年 1 月 1 日起正式脫離歐盟（EU），醫療器材進入英國市場將採用嶄新的驗證模式與全新的產品驗證標誌 UKCA 或 CE UK(NI)。本文從台灣製造商的角度出發，以深入淺出的方式剖析 UKCA 所帶來的衝擊和可能的影響。
