Valerie Anderson is Professor of Human Resource Development and Education at the University of Portsmouth. Prior to her academic career she worked in operational and consultancy learning and development roles in private and public sector organizations. She chairs the BSI Committee responsible for standards development in Human Capital Management and led the ISO Working Group that developed ISO 30422: HRM – Learning and Development which is the first International Standard focused on L&D in work organizations. Valerie is committed to practice-led research and carries out a range of practice-based research projects. She has authored over 20 practitioner tools, webinars and reports. Her book, edited with other leading HR standards experts, Human Capital Management Standards: A Complete Guide published by Kogan Page is the leading text focused on how people management and development standards provide the basis for sustainable organizations.

Kirsi Kekki has been from the start a member of the ILO working group developing ISO 30422: HRM – Learning and Development as the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) Expert. She works currently in the UK’s biggest public sector trade union UNISON as a Learning and Workforce Development Officer helping members to access learning opportunities.

Kirsi has also worked in a number of other trade unions both in the UK and Finland covering roles in project management, organising and delivering training in trade union education. In the TUC (UK), as a policy officer she specialised in adult learning and skills on areas such as apprenticeships, vocational training, digital and basic skills taking part in government consultations and advising unions.

Being a keen advocate of life-long learning Kirsi is dedicated to improving her Swedish language skills with occasional dips to learn more Spanish.

Sunil Hasmukharay is an international speaker since the tender age of 17 when he was first invited to speak at United Nations. In the last 21 years, he has travelled to more than 52 countries to deliver keynote addresses, train and coach leaders globally.  He worked in PETRONAS for over a decade before focusing on his passion to support organisations around world to build their Learning & Development frameworks, cultivating Strengths Driven, Solution Focused Culture and building coaching culture to drive business performance.

Sunil is passionate to facilitate strategy workshop, support organisations to build positive work cultures and is often consulted by global corporate leaders on L&D strategy matters. He is the Co-Founder of Malaysia Association of Professional Trainers & Coaches (MAPTAC) and also the Founder & President of Malaysia Positive Psychology Association (MPPA). In line with his vision to enrich people’s life and building happier corporate cultures, he founded the ASEAN Corporate Happiness Community amongst the HR Community to drive corporate Happiness Culture in the region.

Sunil is the only representative from ASIA who served as a Subject Matter Expert in the development of the ISO Standards for Learning & Development and has been instrumental in the development of ISO 30422 Learning & Development.
