BSI Canada announces 2018 Award of Excellence nominees

Organizations recognized for their commitment to quality and resilience

Toronto – May 7, 2019 – BSI, the business improvement company, has announced the nominees for their annual BSI Award of Excellence. BSI Group Canada Inc. is a leading provider of choice for ISO Certification, Assessment, Training, and Software in Canada.

The BSI Award of Excellence, first awarded in 2011, recognizes clients who have demonstrated a culture of excellence and continual improvement in their business. The 2017 winner was Pollard Bank Note, which was specifically recognized for their Quality Management Systems.

Speaking about this year’s slate of nominees, BSI Canada’s Pierre Dovala, Commercial Director, stated, “2018 was a very busy year as the transition year concluded for the revised ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, as well as IATF 16949 and AS9100 standards. Radical transformation and updates in some of these standards meant there are now new demands on management as risk and leadership take centre stage. Success will involve a combination of strategic adaptability, agile leadership, robust governance, and organizational resilience.”

Evaluation of audit performances, quality management systems and business results are some of the factors considered for the Award of Excellence. This year’s nominees represent multiple sectors including an engineering company, a supplier to the US military, and a well-known supplier to the automotive sector.

The 2018 nominees are:

  1. BA Blacktop Ltd.
  2. Dental Savings Club
  3. Genieall
  4. General Kinetics
  5. Glotman Simpson Consulting Engineers
  6. Mitel Networks Corp.
