Implementing a Food Safety Management System (FSMS) helps organizations strengthen their food safety performance and proactively manage food safety risks. Internal auditing is an essential element of any effective FSMS.

This course provides you with the skills and confidence to plan and conduct internal audits based on FSSC 22000. You’ll learn how to initiate an audit, prepare and carry out audit activities, compile clear audit reports, and successfully complete follow-up actions – adding real value to your organizations food safety management system.

This course aims to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills required to effectively plan, conduct, report, and follow-up internal audits against FSSC 22000 Version 7.

You will develop an understanding of audit principles in line with ISO 19011, learn how to evaluate evidence against FSSC requirements (including key areas such as food defence, food fraud, allergen management, and environmental monitoring), and gain the confidence to identify nonconformities, communicate findings, and review and respond to proposed corrective action.
