    Our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Practitioner Qualification pathway combines key courses and exams to validate your learning. On successful completition, you'll earn an industry recognized qualification you can display on your professional profile.

    This Qualification combines the following courses and exams:

    ISO 14064-1:2018 Requirements

    Understand the key terms, definitions and requirements of ISO 14064-1. Learn how it can help your organization to quantify greenhouse gas emissions that are relevant, complete, consistent, accurate and transparent.

     

    Carbon Management Planning

    Learn to implement relevant standards, including ISO 14064, ISO 14068, and ISO 14090, that were developed to help organizations manage their GHG emissions, and address the risks associated with climate change.

     

    ISO 14064-3:2019 Greenhouse Gas Verification and Validation

    Learn the principles and processes involved in conducting verification and validation of GHG statements and GHG reports. Discover how to design a framework to measure and report on your organization’s GHG emissions.

     

    On completion, you’ll be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Practitioner Qualification you can showcase on your professional profile.

    Which qualification will i achieve?

    By taking and passing the optional end of course qualification exam you will be awarded the BSI Greenhouse Gas Practitioner Qualification.

    Greenhouse Gas - Practitioner

    • You will learn about:

      • The impact of climate change and what organizations and Governments are doing to tackle it
      • The key principles, requirements, terms, and guidelines of ISO 14064 parts 1,2 & 3
      • The importance and benefits of quantifying and reporting GHG emissions in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018. This includes defining the boundaries of your organization’s GHG emissions to measure, report and manage those emissions
      • How ISO 14064-2:2019 can be used to identify and select GHG sources, sinks and reservoirs (SSR’s), determine baselines, monitor, quantify and report on project emissions
      • The ISO 14064-3:2019 requirements and guidelines for verifying GHG statements related to GHG inventories, GHG projects and the process for verification or validation
    • Anyone required to calculate, reduce, report and/or check their organization’s greenhouse gas emissions, including Environmental and Sustainability Managers, Officers, Advisors and Champions.

    • On completion, you will be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate.

      This course forms part of our Greenhouse Gas Qualification programme. Our Greenhouse Gas Qualifications will give you a BSI Mark of Trust, reassuring your customers and suppliers that your skills have been validated. You can achieve Practitioner or Professional status by successfully completing courses and exam.

    • There are no formal prerequisites, however it will be useful for delegates to read the relevant standards before attending the course. A basic understanding of global warming issues would be helpful.
