This course provides an introduction to AS9145, that standardizes the requirements for Product Development Processes (PDP), by implementing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) methodologies within the aerospace industry. You will explore the framework of the 5 phases that constitute APQP, and how to apply this structured approach throughout the product lifecycle.

- Identify the key terms, definitions and acronyms relevant to AS9145
- Identify the key elements of APQP and the role of PPAP within AS9145
- Determine the main activities, deliverables, and key outputs for each phase of APQP
- Appreciate the necessity of applying a comprehensive project management approach to ensure multi-functional collaboration
- Consider the role of risk management for implementing a robust PDP that meets customer requirements
- Demonstrate an awareness of the relationship between AS9145 and other key aerospace standards.
This course is suitable for all individuals involved in any/all stages of the PDP lifecycle, including product/process design, engineering, quality, purchasing, production/manufacturing, inspection, storage, packaging and distribution.
You will need your own copy of AS9145.

Within section 2 of AS9145 there are publications listed that support the application of the standard and it is recommended that you have access to those publications that are relevant to your organization.
On completion, you'll be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate
