Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) was developed in 1960s as a metric to evaluate how effectively a manufacturing operation is being optimized. Today, OEE is widely used as a metric to coordinate production strategies and propel manufacturing optimizations through production planning, machine reliability, quality and productivity improvements.
OEE is more than just a simple formulae or calculation. Implementing OEE on the shop-floor can be tedious and complex; considering multiple machine types with variable run-times. A structured template is needed to determine availability and performance for multiple machine types, with some running while others are idle.
This compact one-day course gives due attention to detail clarification of the elements of OEE that are involved in value creation. It enables the organisation to understand the waste and loss in terms of equipment optimization, thus enabling the organisatio to proceed to identify improvement initiatives that impact the organisation’s bottom line.
This course will help you:
Supervisors, engineers, maintenance and production personnel responsible for ensuring optimum utilization of the organisation’s process equipment.
On completion, you'll be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate.
