Upgrade to your certification to ISO 45001

BS OHSAS 18001 has been replaced by ISO 45001 the new international standard for occupational health and safety. Organizations who are already certified to BS OHSAS 18001 will need to upgrade to ISO 45001 by March 2021.

Follow these five steps to upgrade to ISO 45001.

  1. Talk to BSI

  2. Attend a BSI Training Course
    Understand the new requirements faster and in greater detail by attending our training courses; from introduction courses through to seminars specifically created for you or your top management, we have the course to suit you.

  3. Communicate with your organization
    Engaging your leadership about the new leadership requirements and your whole organization about the changes will gain buy in and make your transition more successful.

  4. Download our comprehensive support materials
    Our guide to ISO 45001 provides an overview of the new High Level Structure and the requirements of the new standard. The Mapping Guide provides an overview of the changes, deletions, new or enhanced requirements between BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001.

  5. Book a BSI Gap Assessment prior to upgrading to the new standard
    This can be really beneficial as it can help you to help you identify any weaknesses in your system prior to formal assessment.
    Once you have successfully upgraded to ISO 45001 your BSI Client Manager will visit you regularly to make sure you remain compliant and support your continual improvement.
