The Ministry of Culture receives The Quality Management Training System Certificate- "ISO 10015"

Abu Dhabi, July 1, 2013: HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development received the international certificate for recognition of the application of quality management system in training "ISO 10015" obtained by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development. The ceremony was held on Sunday, June 30, 2013 in the presence of His Excellency Dominique Jeremy British Ambassador to the UAE , Mr. Theuns Kotze, the Middle East Regional Managing Director of BSI (British Standards Institution), HE Afra Al Sabri, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services, HE Bilal Al Bdour Assistant Undersecretary for Culture and Arts and a number of directors of departments and heads of sections in the ministry and a number of the members of the British establishment in the Palace HE Sheikh Nahyan in the Al Bateen area.

On his turn, HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, assured that "The  Ministry's achievement in obtaining the certificate of the international recognition of the application of the training quality management system specifications " ISO 10015 "comes in line with the pursuit of the ministry for  its new strategy towards organizational excellence. Thus the ministry puts great interest in the development of human resources considering it as an essential element for achieving outstanding corporate performance and an effective response to the development of government initiatives. This interest is highlighted in the ministry through the training and development of human resources, the establishment of new programs and initiatives and continuous monitoring that promotes this important role. This comes in line with the Government's 2021 wise vision, including the UAE Program for Distinguished Electronical Government Services which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai , in order to standardize the governmental services in all federal agencies and to upgrade its level to a 7 stars level.


His Excellency pointed out that the ministry's keenness is not only confined to the completion of work and to the achievement of performance indicators, but also extends to excellence in the achievement of quality indicators and the development of human resources in the addition to the implementation of a large number of initiatives that contribute to upgrading the cultural sector in the country to achieve  excellence , cultural and societal influence, and to spread the culture excellence through the implementation of initiatives and programs as a step towards the performance of business in a professional and clear manner, regardless of the people executing the work. This guarantees the quality in all the steps and its integration with all cultural centers and offices under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, stressing that obtaining the ISO certification reflects the ministry’s full and complete commitment towards the implementation of quality management systems and its dissemination in order to ensure the highest quality in the services provided.
HE the Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development added that the ministry’s keenness to obtain the (ISO 10015), came out of its keenness to make the work in the ministry proportionate with international quality standards and to make receiving such certificates a distinguished approach and strategy supported in the ministry in addition to achieving featured training and raising the level of all employees in order to develop their performance and the services provided to customers.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the efforts exerted by the staff in the ministry to reach this important achievement, stressing that receiving this award is the result of sincere and diligent work done by the employees in the ministry regardless of their positions.
On the other hand, HE Dominique Jeremy British Ambassador to the UAE congratulated His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan and the Ministry’s team, and added that receiving this award is a continuation of the journey of excellence, reflecting the continuing evolution in the performance of employees in the ministry. He also pointed out that receiving this award covers the ministry’s two branches and different cultural centers, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the ministry towards continuous improvement and excellence.
