What does an auditor do?
An auditor is responsible for ensuring that the system and process that the organisation’s operate comply with ISO standards. Auditor must conduct surveillance and assessment in periodic and report any non-conformity in audit reports. They also provide necessary recommendations to help the system comply with the requirements of ISO standard.
Becoming a lead auditor
To become a certified lead auditor you must have work experience and practical experience in applying ISO principles, procedures and techniques in your organizations. You will also need a training from Certification Body like BSI.
- Join an Introductory or Requirements course to get a basic understanding of ISO standards
- Take a Lead Auditor course to learn auditing techniques and requirements
- Take part as an audit observer to help you learn from experienced auditors and gain audit experience
- Obtain technical industry codes
