Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) has become a central theme in corporate sustainability. Governments, regulators, investors, and customers increasingly expect companies to demonstrate strong ESG performance, making it both a business imperative and a driver of long-term value. Yet, many professionals are tasked with ESG responsibilities without formal training, while others seek to build a career as ESG managers.

The ESG Manager Qualification has been designed to meet this need. It introduces the core concepts of ESG and places them within the wider sustainability landscape. Participants will gain an understanding of ESG frameworks, the stakeholder ecosystem, and practical approaches to strategy and disclosure.

The qualification programme combines two focused modules and an associated examination:

    • Module 1: IWA 48:2024 – ESG Implementation principles
    • Module 2: ESG Disclosure Standards and Practices

Together, these modules provide a systematic foundation in ESG management. For newcomers, the programme opens the door to a rewarding career path. For existing practitioners, it strengthens knowledge and equips them with structured tools to manage ESG more effectively.
