This course aims to provide knowledge and skills required to identify carbon emission sources, Quantify the Carbon footprint and report it in internationally acceptable format in accordance with ISO 14064-1: 2018 Greenhouse gases — Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals.

This course focuses on the ISO 14064 series of standards that have been developed specifically to help organizations manage their greenhouse gas emissions.

Organizations that are serious about reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions should not only be able to quantity their overall carbon footprint, but also the carbon footprint generated by each of their products. Calculating the carbon footprint of products (CFP) is becoming increasingly relevant for businesses who want to demonstrate to their customers that they are reducing the GHG emissions of the products that they consume.

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing the world today, and increasingly governments are setting targets for businesses to become carbon neutral. This course is designed to help participants understand the Sustainability Reporting process as per the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. The training enables organizations to establish the systems and processes necessary to conduct stakeholder engagements, analyse the inputs and thereby develop their strategy for Sustainable Development.
