How to drive organisational behaviour to shape workplace culture

Webinar background

Millions of companies around the world have adopted management system standards believing that following a structured framework of best practice will yield benefits.

But do management system standards and certification really improve performance?

Studies on management system maturity, and individual organizational measures and feedback would certainly suggest that implementing management systems has a positive effect – but independent, empirical evidence has not been available, until now.

New research by the Harvard Business School uses data to answer this question in the context of embedding recognised occupational Health and Safety management systems. The research analysed proprietary certification data from some of the world’s largest certification companies and injury microdata from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

To mark World Day for Safety and Health at Work, BSI’s Global Head of Health, Safety and Well-being, Kate Field, will be hosting two webinars, exploring whether management system standards and certification improve business performance. She will be joined by:

  • Professor Michael W. Toffel from Harvard Business School
  • JC Sekar, CEO and co-founder of AcuiZen Technologies Singapore
  • Michael Tooma, Managing Partner at Clyde & Co
  • Dave R. Meyer, Principal Consultant at BSI
