Lead Greenhouse Gas (GHG) verifiers / validators are required to plan and deliver effective GHG verification and validation activities. Their responsibilities include the selection and to lead a competent team to verify and validate GHG-related claims and statements. Leading a verification and validation team will require, not only competence in the verification/validation process, but also leadership skills for the purposes of planning, managing, and approving the outputs of a verification/validation exercise.
This 1-day course focuses on developing the requirements for leading a GHG verification / validation exercise, described by ISO 14064-3, ISO/IEC 17029, and ISO 14066.
Upon attending this training course, you’ll receive an internationally recognized BSI certificate of attendance, and upon successfully passing its required exam, you will receive an internationally recognized BSI certificate of achievement.

This course is aimed at those who are required to lead, plan, manage, and approve the outputs of a competent team, when verifying / validating a GHG-related claims and statements made by organizations. Job roles and functions include energy, environmental, facility, sustainability, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) managers, officers, advisors and champions.
The training builds on the existing knowledge and understanding of GHG emissions and removals quantification (ISO 14064-1), carbon reduction and management planning, and GHG verification / validation (ISO 14064-3), and develops the competences of a Lead GHG verifier / validator.
This 1-day course builds on the GHG Practitioner Qualification, comprising ISO 14064-1, Carbon Management Planning (CMP), and ISO 14064-3 training courses, providing practical application via a case study and additional competences to become a Lead GHG verifier / validator.
Delegates are expected to be existing GHG Practitioner holders, or scheduled to complete the prerequisite training within a 12-month period.
