ISO 9001 remains the leading global standard for quality management, helping organizations improve performance, meet customer requirements, and achieve sustainable success. The Final Draft International Standard (ISO 9001) introduces important updates reflecting emerging priorities such as quality culture and ethical behaviour, climate change in context, digital transformation, and the formal separation of risks and opportunities.

This one‑day transition course is designed for organizations already certified to ISO 9001:2015. It provides clear insight into the new requirements and clarifications, focusing on implementation readiness. You will learn how to interpret the changes, update your quality management system, and prepare your organization for a smooth transition.

The course balances the needs of implementers (how to build conformance) with auditors (how to verify it), aligned with the BSI Assurance methodology. Whether you're leading your organization's transition project or preparing to audit against the new standard, this course equips you with the tools, techniques, and confidence to succeed.

Upon completion of this training, you will be able to:
- Explain the key changes incorporated into ISO 9001:2026 and what they mean for quality management systems
- Apply the updated requirements to quality processes, ensuring they reflect enhanced expectations on context, climate, culture, and ethical behaviour
- Separate risks and opportunities into distinct management processes, with clear methodologies and evidence
- Implement the new Clause 6.3 on planning of changes, including formal Management of Change (MOC) procedures
- Adapt to the shift from “retain documented information” to “available as evidence,” embracing digital transformation
- Monitor customer feedback, including social media and digital channels, as part of performance evaluation
- Update management review processes to include changes in the needs and expectations of interested parties
- Identify the audit evidence needed to demonstrate conformance and support a successful transition to ISO 9001:2026
Designed for ISO 9001 implementers, auditors, management system owners and those who need to understand and implement the changes to ISO 9001:2026. Suggested job roles include:

- Prior knowledge and experience of quality management tools and techniques, and of ISO 9001:2015 management system requirements, implementation and/or auditing.
For this course there is an online, open book, 20 question multiple choice exam.
Duration 40 mins. Pass mark: 70%.

Delegates have 30 days from the end of the course to take the exam.
2 attempts are allowed (the initial exam + 1 free re‑sit).
