MS 1480:2019 Food Safety according to HACCP System

BSI in Malaysia is an accredited certification body by the Department of Standards of Malaysia for MS 1480 Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification.

In Malaysia, Malaysian Standard MS 1480 published by Department of Standards to describe the requirements for food safety according to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system to ensure the safety of food during preparation, processing, manufacturing, packaging, storage, transportation, distribution, handling or offering for sale or supply in any sector of the food chain.

HACCP principles specify requirements for food safety system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.

The second revision of MS 1480:2019 Food Safety According to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) System was published on 3rd January 2019. This standard cancel and replaces MS 1480:2007.

MS 1480 prerequisite programmes including personal hygience, maintenance, cleaning and sanitization, control of operation, training etc shall be implemented in accordance with MS 1514:2009.
