Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) has been produced by the Associate Auditor Group (AAG) of Sedex to give a consistent good practice approach to an audit methodology. This assists members in sharing audit information with confidence, through the Sedex system.
As SMETA becomes more widely used, it is essential that as far as possible the quality of SMETA reports maintains a good practice standard. To support the global expansion of SMETA, the Sedex membership has requested that the AAG create a 1-day Foundation Workshop which will give auditors and audit users a foundation knowledge of the materials and guidelines needed to conduct a SMETA audit.
