Statistical Process Control (SPC) allows to track trends and monitor the very heartbeat of production processes. This technique helps to determine the stability, predict the performance and support the capability assessment of a process.
The primary SPC tool is the control chart. It is a graphical tracking of a process input or an output over time. In a control chart, the visual comparison allows you to detect any abnormal variation in the process — variation that may indicate a problem or fundamental change in the process.
What gets measured, gets managed. As part of process excellence journey, SPC is essential to understand process behaviour and continually discover insights for process improvement.
Now, with the aid of Minitab software, the control charts can be set up faster and enable easier output analysis.
How will I benefit?
- To greatly reduce the time needed to calculate and analyze control charts
- To minimize the calculation error due to manual calculation
- To communicate and share the control charts and process capability results more conveniently with their customers
Who should attend?
This course is designed for front line managers, engineers or executives who are or plan to involve in the Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities as part of their quality improvement initiatives.
