Strategic Risk Management

Risk assessment is the determination of quantitative or qualitative value of risk related to a concrete situation and a recognized threat (also called hazard). Quantitative risk assessment requires calculations of two components of risk (R):, the magnitude of the potential loss (L), and the probability (p) that the loss will occur. This course aims to focus on the threat along with the risks that goes with it.

Threat and risk assessment are methods that are indicative for the management of risk treatment action plans. This course is intended for understanding the threat and vulnerabilities, and its impact to the organization when left unmanaged.

  • Manage & facilitate risks beyond operational risks
  • Manage strategic and external risks
  • Communicate threats and vulnerabilities and their corresponding risk treatment plans effectively to all levels in the organization.
