Certification to ISO 14001 Environmental Management

Getting your organization certified to an international environmental standard such as ISO 14001 will help your business to be visible as an environmentally responsible organization. It helps you demonstrate how committed you are to reducing your environmental impacts and to meet stakeholder expectations of sustainability.

How to get certified to ISO 14001

Let us make the certification process simple for you. After we have received your application, we will appoint a client manager who will guide you and your business through the following steps.

  1. Gap analysis -
This step is highly recommended but remains as an optional pre-assessment service. A gap analysis allows us to take a closer look at your existing environmental management system and compare it with ISO 14001 requirements. A report will be issued to you to help identify areas that need more work before we carry out a formal assessment, saving you time and money.

  2. Formal assessment -
This happens in two stages. Firstly we will  look through your organisation’s preparations for assessment by evaluating if the necessary ISO 14001 procedures and controls had been put in place.

If all the requirements are in place, we will then audit the implementation of the processes and controls within your organisation to ensure that they are functioning  effectively as required for the ISO 14001 certification.

  3. Certification and beyond -
Once you hav have passed the formal assessment, we will issue you an ISO 14001 certificate, which is valid for three years. Your client manager will stay in touch during this time, paying you regular visits per annum to ensure your system continually improves.
