There is a widespread consensus on the urgent necessity to intensify initiatives aimed at decreasing anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and enhancing GHG removals to stabilize and limit global warming to 2°C. Current climate science suggests that organizations must attain a 50% reduction in GHG emissions by the year 2030, ultimately reaching a 100% reduction, or net zero, by 2050.

A strategic approach to achieving net zero involves shifting the focus of organizations from their internal operations (Scopes 1 and 2) to optimizing their entire supply and/or value chains (Scope 3).

This training builds upon BSI’s GHG Practitioner training by supporting you to:

Define and establish Scope 3 emissions are significant
Identify, quantify, and report Scope 3 emissions
Appreciate and understand the contribution of Scope 3 emissions in your organizations supply and/or value chain

This training course does not cover GHG standards requirements and reporting frameworks for reporting an organization’s or a product’s carbon footprint.

Scope 3 GHG emissions are relevant to any organization, regardless of its size, sector, complexity, and geographical location. This course is especially suitable for those who need to:
