This qualification develops the necessary knowledge and skills to assess and report on the conformance and implementation of an Artificial Intelligence Management System conforming to ISO/IEC 42001 and gain the understanding of the concepts which underpin ISO/IEC 22989:2023 as a normative reference in ISO/IEC 42001:2023. You will learn how to initiate an audit, prepare and conduct audit activities, compile and distribute audit reports and complete follow-up activities.

The Internal auditor practitioner qualification allows individuals to gain the knowledge, principles and practical experience in planning, executing, reporting and follow-up of internal when monitoring the effectiveness and conformity of An Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) (ISO/IEC 42001).

ISO/IEC 22989:2023 Understanding AI Concepts and Terminology (4hr eLearning)

ISO/IEC 22989:2023 is a normative reference in ISO/IEC 42001:2023. Understanding the concepts that underpin this standard is vital in its effective deployment into an organization. This course will provide you with an understanding of the main concepts of AI and AI systems to complement your knowledge of management system standards.

ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Requirements (2 days classroom – in-person or virtual)

Identify the structure and requirements of an effective AIMS and what this means for you. Gain a thorough understanding of the history and development of ISO 42001:2023, key terms, definitions and the ISO harmonized structure. You’ll learn to interpret and apply the key concepts and principles of the standard to existing processes within your organization.

ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Internal Auditor (2 days classroom – in-person or virtual)

This course develops the necessary skills to assess and report on the conformance and implementation of an Artificial Intelligence Management System conforming to ISO/IEC 42001. You will learn how to initiate an audit, prepare and conduct audit activities, compile and distribute audit reports and complete follow-up activities.
- Those who will be involved in advising top management on the introduction of ISO/IEC 42001 into an organization
- Anyone working with AI, including consultants
- Anyone involved in the auditing, maintaining or supervising of an ISO/IEC 42001 AIMS
Each module is followed by a mandatory online multiple-choice examination. Delegates must pass the examination to be awarded the qualification.
