This course is part of the Greenhouse Gas Professional Qualification.
Organizations that are serious about reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions should not only be able to quantity their overall carbon footprint, but also the carbon footprint generated by each of their products. Calculating the carbon footprint of products (CFP) is becoming increasingly relevant for businesses who want to demonstrate to their customers that they are reducing the GHG emissions of the products that they consume.

- Understand the key principles for determining the carbon footprint of a product
- Quantify and report on the GHG emissions of your product
- Recognize the importance of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) when calculating the carbon footprint of products
- Appreciate the importance of verifying/validating GHG product statements and reports
Which qualification will i achieve?
To be awarded the Greenhouse Gas Professional qualification, you must complete the a total of 8 days training courses including:
- Managing Greenhouse Gas Emissions ISO 14064 and pass the exam
- Quantifying the Carbon Footprint of Products (ISO 14067:2018)
- Demonstrating Carbon Neutrality (PAS 2060:2014) and pass the exam

Anyone required to calculate, reduce, report and/or check their product/s greenhouse gas emissions, including Environmental and Sustainability Managers, Officers, Advisors and Champions.
What will I learn?
You will learn:
- The key principles, requirements, terms, and guidelines of ISO 14067 and where it sits within the broader family of ISO standards addressing GHG emissions
- How to develop a process map to calculate a product carbon footprint
- How to calculate the in-use product carbon footprint for a range of products and the allocated carbon footprint of products
- The LCA process includes the difference between ‘cradle to gate’ &’ cradle to grave’
What is included?
On completion, you will be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate.
Note: There is no exam for this course.
Prerequisites
This course is the pre-requisite for the Greenhouse Gas Professional qualification which also covers PAS 2060 (Carbon Neutrality).
It is recommended that you complete the Managing Greenhouse Gas Emissions course or Greenhouse Gas Practitioner qualification before attending this course.
