When testing these products BSI look at their level of waterproofing and if required, their ability to react to fire.  Bitumen basement tanking sheets for use in cellars and basement rooms can also be tested to a Kitemark certification standard.

Standards include:

What you need to know about UKCA for construction products?

The UKCA (UK Conformity Assessment) mark is the new UK product marking that will be required for certain products being placed on the market in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It covers most products that previously required the CE mark.

From the 30th June 2025, CE Marking will no longer be accepted for construction products and UKCA will be required.
