Getting started with ISO 28000 Supply Chain Security
Lorna Anderson, Global ISO 22301 Scheme Manager and Business Continuity Technical Expert, BSI

With the growth of international commerce, it has become harder for countries to manage supply chain security on their own. ISO 28000 can assist by providing the basis for an overarching supply chain security management system.  The standard provides organizations with a framework to help better assess security risks in their supply chain (e.g. theft, terrorism, etc.), manage new threats as they emerge and implement appropriate controls to manage them.

This presentation will address the importance of taking a systems approach to managing supply chain risk, the key aspects of ISO 28000 and the benefits it can deliver to organizations.

Solutions for supply chain management
Courtney Foster and Anthony Pelli, BSI Supply Chain Solutions

In our rapidly expanding and interconnected global economy, organizations, ports, and other stakeholders in the supply chain are facing more extensive and complex challenges when transporting goods across the world. A wide range of security threats have made maintaining the integrity of cargo shipments and supplier sites increasingly difficult. Supply chain threats can differ greatly between countries, further complicating the risks companies face. These risks must be assessed across all locations, and mitigated in an effective and proactive manner.

During this session you can find out how BSI Supply Chain Supply Chain Solutions equips organizations with risk assessment modules and risk metric outputs to mitigate risks to your cargo movements and your reputation.

11.00-11.30 ISO 28000 Case Study: Wilson James
