Lachean Humphreys is BSI’s Standards Development Manager for business improvement and occupational health and safety management.

She is the committee manager to HS/1, BSI’s technical committee responsible for the UK input into international standardisation in the field of occupational health and safety management, and the ISO 45001 family of standards. She works with national experts to develop documents that help organizations of all types to improve the way they operate and to better protect the people who work for them.

Some of her other work areas include gender equality in organisations (EDI/337) and improving consumer understanding of T&Cs (ISO/PC 335).

Sally is BSI’s Lead Standards Development Manager for business improvement and occupational health and safety management. She is responsible for working with both national and international experts to develop documents that help organizations of all types to improve the way they operate and to better protect the people who work for them.

Sally engages with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure the widest possible views are taken into account when the UK inputs to international standards and frequently holds public meetings to encourage users of the standards to raise issues and propose improvements.

Sally is the manager  of the ISO technical committee responsible for the world’s first international standard on occupational health and safety management, ISO 45001, and is actively involved in the development of ISO 45003 (guidance on psychological health and safety at work) which will also be the first globally agreed standard of its type.

Starting his career in both the public and private sectors of environmental health back in 2005, Charles joined WorkNest in 2012 as a Health & Safety Consultant and has since supported a diverse portfolio of clients, from large catering suppliers to school trusts and large manufacturing operations.

Since joining the Health & Safety Team, Charles has progressed to the role of Principal Health & Safety Consultant. A Chartered Member of IOSH and a Chartered Fellow with the Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), Charles’ specialisms include food safety, enforcement liaison and training.

In 2019, Charles began a volunteer role as the CIEH representative for the BSI committee for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, which he fulfils alongside his current role.

Constance is a Lecturer in Business and Management at The Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University and a Doctoral Researcher focusing on the Relevance of Health and Safety Management representation in Strategic Leadership and Governance. Her experience spans across Academia, Energy, Production, Construction and Engineering organizations, occupying key QHSE and Change Management positions. She has a Master of Science in Safety, Health and Environmental Management(Distinction), a certified Change Management Specialist, an ardent Trainer and Mentor, a Lead Auditor of several ISO Management Systems and a recipient of multiple awards for excellence in Health and Safety.
