Liam Gimon, Interpol
Seconded from the US Food and Drug Administration, Liam Gimon is currently a Criminal Intelligence Officer with Interpol, in the Illicit Goods and Global Health Programme, stationed at the Interpol Global Complex for Innovation, Singapore. In this position he provides up-to-date specialized knowledge, training and investigative support in specific high profile crime areas to police and investigators across the world. He is in charge of some of the largest operations in Interpol, including Operation Pangea (to combat illicit online pharmacies) Operation OPSON (to combat illicit and counterfeit foods) and Operation Chain (Intellectual Property Rights violations in the Asia/Mid-East region).
Prior to working at the FDA, Liam was a Special Agent with the US Secret Service, where he spent ten years, including time stationed in the US Embassy in Berlin, Germany. Liam finished his Secret Service career working on Vice President Cheney’s protective detail.
