Ashton Applewhite is the author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism and the co-founder of the Old School Anti-Ageism Clearinghouse. An internationally recognized expert on ageism, she speaks widely at venues that have included the TED mainstage and the United Nations, has written for Harper’s, the Guardian, and the New York Times, and is the voice of Yo, Is This Ageist?. Ashton is at the forefront of the emerging movement to raise awareness of ageism and to dismantle it.

Lauren Chiren is an entrepreneur, CEO of Women of a Certain Stage. She is passionate about supporting people to successfully navigate all things menstruation to menopause. She is a global keynote speaker, trainer & coach on executive wellbeing.

She left her senior role in financial services, in her early 40's believing that she was suffering from early-onset dementia. Imagine her surprise when her doctor informed her, she had 'just' been through menopause?!

Today she educates employers on why being menstruation to menopause supportive, is business savvy, and supports high performing people to navigate the changes and challenges of all things hormonal.

As a trusted expert, Lauren has helped thousands of executives, celebrities, and athletes globally. She is qualified in psychology, mental health, menopause, nutrition, coaching, personal training and more.

Lauren shares her knowledge and stimulates the debate on what being well means, at all stages of life, with insightful directness, commercial pragmatism, and absolute passion for ensuring optimum health and resilience.

Lauren’s goal is to transform global attitudes to health, specifically menstruation to menopause, helping organisations to support their teams through this menstrual and menopausal transformations successfully, and to empower people to retain their vitality, increase their influence and step fully into their personal power through all their life stages.

Recognised as one of SHP’s Most Influential Individuals in health and safety in 2021, Kate is BSI’s global health, safety and well-being expert, with over 20 years’ experience across all sectors, Kate uses her expertise to drive BSI’s global strategy for creating a safer, healthier, fairer, and more inclusive workplace.

From Regulator, to consultant to thought-leader, Kate uses her experience and knowledge as an ambassador for cultural change, that puts trust, engagement and well-being at the forefront, Kate inspires colleagues and stakeholders globally to make a difference. Kate has developed the first global training and certification programme for ISO 45003 on psychological and safety management and authored the best practice framework BSI’s Prioritizing People Model@.

Madhu is a British South Asian who founded M for Menopause after her own menopause experience with a mission to ensure all employees feel supported to thrive at work during menopause. She previously worked for the Department of Work and Pensions for 23 years with experience in HR and Recruitment, but resigned in 2016 due to her menopause symptoms. M for Menopause provides employers bespoke advice on the changes required to best support their employees, from policies to ground-level support, as well as workshops and one-to-one support for employees. She is releasing her book in October 2022 providing a framework for working individuals to lean on during menopause. She is passionate about diversity and inclusion and raising the voices of underrepresented groups, so all individuals have access to the support they deserve during menopause.

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is a non-profit making, grassroots and non-party political business organisation that represents members in every community across the UK. Set up in 1974, FSB are the authoritative voice on policy issues affecting the UK’s 5.5 million small businesses, micro businesses and the self-employed. Rebecca is a part of FSB’s policy team and leads on the portfolios of Women in Enterprise and Disability and Health.

Elysha is the Programme Manager for Bloody Good Period's Bloody Good Employers programme which partners with employers to review and improve policy, culture and communications about periods in the workplace. 

Prior to this, Elysha worked within recruitment and technology consulting and therefore has experienced some of the challenges employers face within cis-male dominated environments and where the priority is always the bottom line. Having completed an MA in Gender, Sexuality and Culture, Elysha has continually been concerned with gender relations in the workplace and is thrilled to finally bring all of her experience and knowledge together by running the delivery of Bloody Good Employers.
