Revolutionizing High-Technology’s Approach to EHS

Semiconductor Environmental Safety and Health Association (SESHA) Annual Meeting to Address Changing EHS Needs Across All Industries

The last two years have seen unprecedented advances in technology. Pandemic-related shutdowns forced companies to completely transform their digital capabilities to continue serving clients, employees, and shareholders. Technology became vastly more efficient, and despite detrimental supply chain disruptions impacting nearly every industry world-wide, innovation shined. Some of the most impactful advancements were seen in remote working and distance learning capabilities, contactless payment systems, telehealth accessibility, online sourcing, robotic delivery structures, and cybersecurity.

Now, post-Covid, the high-tech industry is yet again experiencing a stage of enormous growth. The semiconductor industry in particular is drastically expanding to meet the demands of massive inventory shortages. With Intel’s plan for a $20 billion production facility in Ohio, and as other manufacturing facilities ramp up, domestic production of semiconductors is slated to skyrocket.

This boom in semiconductor growth requires robust environmental, health, and safety (EHS) planning and programs. Additionally, long-term sustainability initiatives are necessary as new environmental regulations are in place.

SESHA’s annual meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona next month will offer insights on how EHS perspectives are applied within semiconductor manufacturing and other high-technology fields. Topics like “Incorporating Cutting Edge Technologies into EHS”, “Adapting an Ergonomic Program for Hybrid Work”, “Total Worker Health”, and “Risk Assessment in Robotics” will all be covered.
