General overview

Phil is a Tutor for BSI’s UK Training department, specialising in Information Security. He has wide experience of designing, delivering and evaluating IT Security training across Ministry of Defence as well as developing awareness programmes on risk management, physical security and business continuity planning.

Phil Joined the BSI Training Department following a career in the Royal Air Force which spanned over 30 years, much of which was spent in the Information Security field. He also has in-depth knowledge and experience of Special Investigations, Protective Security, Human Intelligence, Aviation Security and compliance auditing against HMG Security Policy Framework criteria in addition to the ISO 27001 standard.

Phil has extensive working knowledge of various ISO management system standards, including ISO 27001 and ISO 22301.
