Effective PDCA Management & Deployment Techniques

The PDCA cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act) or the Deming Cycle, is often served as the foundation for problem solving and improvement methodologies.

The PDCA cycle will encourage one to be systematic in the approach of problem solving and implementing solutions. It is particularly useful for those using Lean Sigma or a ISO 9001 quality management system.

This training course will provide you with an understanding of PDCA, how it can be used effectively, and common tools associated with the model.

Special note to automotive industry manufacturers: The IATF 16949:2016 requirements clause 10.2.3 Problem Solving, organizations that intend to be certified to IATF 16949:2016 are required to have defined approaches for various types of problem, containment actions, root cause analysis methodology, implementation of corrective actions, verification of the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions, reviewing and updating of documented information such as PFMEA, control plan, as applicable. This course provides a good foundation into the understanding of problem solving techniques and how they can be applied to comply to the requirements of the standard.
